Article 11 Technical Documentation
5 items56
- DocumentationCaptured Sep 25, 2026
Tribepad's AI Manifesto and Q&A says Sidekick uses OpenAI's gpt-oss on Amazon Bedrock with Bedrock Guardrails, uses HrFlow.ai for CV parsing, SWOT analysis and parts of scoring, trains no models of its own, and logs the job-description generator's inputs, outputs and user IDs.
- DocumentationCaptured Sep 25, 2026
The public knowledge-hub guide sets out what feeds the AI Application Score (CVs, career and education history, questionnaire responses), says scores are computed once at submission and never recalculated, and shows how recruiters view or hide scores, so it works as partial instructions for use.
- Public statementCaptured Sep 25, 2026
The Sidekick page claims that testing on 'real-world hiring data' showed hired candidates matched Sidekick's top three 94% of the time, but unlike its time-saving figures the claim has no footnote, sample size or method.
- Public statementCaptured Sep 25, 2026
The only validation Tribepad discloses is a proof-of-concept with three existing customers, in which Sidekick 'correctly predicted the top three candidates in 14 out of 15 test cases' (93%).
- AbsenceCaptured Sep 25, 2026
No model or system card, ISO/IEC 42001 certificate, technical documentation pack or explanation of the scoring logic was found in a crawl of all ~490 tribepad.com sitemap pages, the learn.tribepad.com knowledge hub, or the G-Cloud 15 service definition.

Warden AI's public dashboard for Sidekick's AI Talent Matching shows monthly audits (latest 7 August 2026, sample 6,268) with 58 Clear, 0 Consider and 0 Concern results across sex, race/ethnicity, intersectional, age, disability, religion and sexual orientation, and offers the full and NYC LL 144 reports for download.
- Audit reportCaptured Sep 25, 2026
Warden's downloadable report of 7 August 2026 says the audit used Warden's purpose-built dataset of real resumes because sufficient historical data was not available, ran disparate-impact (0.8 threshold) and counterfactual (0.95 threshold) tests, and found impact ratios of 0.89-1.00, with the age test covering only 76 profiles.
- Public statementCaptured Sep 25, 2026
Tribepad announced that Sidekick became Warden Assured in mid-April 2026 with 'a score of 58/58 on our first audit', which dates the audit programme to spring 2026.
- Public statementCaptured Sep 25, 2026
Tribepad's security page says Sidekick is 'regularly real-world tested to ensure bias isn't creeping into outcomes', but no bias analysis on Tribepad deployment data is published.

The AI Q&A tells deployers what personal data Sidekick processes and where, and recommends, but does not require, that customers add Sidekick to their privacy policies.

Tribepad says Sidekick processes candidates' CVs, names, addresses, education and career history via HrFlow and Amazon Bedrock in AWS eu-west-2, keeps each customer's data separate, does not use customer data to train models, and gives candidates no choice over which data is used.

§ 05 - Editorial notes
Company overview
Tribepad Ltd (Sheffield, UK; incorporated 2008, formerly Talent On View Limited) sells an applicant tracking and talent-acquisition platform to UK employers including Tesco, Greggs and NHS Professionals, and lists it for public-sector buyers on G-Cloud 15. List prices start at £579 a month for SMEs and £2,000 a month for enterprise. Its Sidekick assistant, still labelled beta, gives each applicant an AI Application Score against recruiter-weighted skills, plus a summary, a SWOT analysis and interview questions. Tribepad says Sidekick runs OpenAI's gpt-oss on Amazon Bedrock, with HrFlow.ai handling CV parsing, SWOT analysis and parts of the scoring. Tribepad advertises that hires matched Sidekick's top three candidates 94% of the time. The only method it discloses is a proof-of-concept with three customers, in which Sidekick picked the top three in 14 of 15 test cases (93%). It publishes no sample size, role mix, dates or independent check behind the 94% figure.
Regulatory exposure
Sidekick scores job applicants, so any EU use makes it high-risk under Annex III of the EU AI Act, and Tribepad's provider duties now fall due on 2 December 2027. No emotion-recognition feature was found, so exposure under Article 5 looks low. In the UK, where Tribepad is based, UK GDPR and the ICO's November 2024 audit findings on AI recruitment tools apply; Tribepad cites those findings in its own blog. Warden AI's monthly audits include NYC LL 144 and EU AI Act bias reports. Warden says they run on its own test dataset and do not show full compliance, so NYC employers still owe candidates notice and must publish an audit summary. Sidekick takes in candidates' names and addresses, which Illinois employers should check against HB 3773's ban on using zip codes as proxies. By default the platform deletes candidate data and audit logs after two years, short of California's four-year retention rule for automated-decision records unless the customer buys extra storage. Colorado's SB 26-189 disclosure duties start on 1 January 2027. Tribepad's ED&I page promises to automatically shortlist 'candidates from certain backgrounds'; employers who use this must stay within the Equality Act's limits on positive action.
Path to a higher score
Publish the method behind the 94% claim (sample, roles, dates, what 'top three' means) or drop it. Release a Sidekick system card that covers model versions, how the AI Application Score is built, known limits and a model-update changelog, ideally backed by ISO/IEC 42001. Extend Warden's testing to real deployment outcomes, use larger age samples, and keep past monthly audits visible. Mask names and addresses before scoring, publish a sub-processor list and a DPA, and fix stale pages such as the Safe Harbour FAQ. Give deployers ready-made kits for EU AI Act Articles 26 and 27 (including a FRIA template), NYC LL 144 notices, Illinois notices and California record retention, plus tools for candidate notice and opt-out. Restart the suspended vulnerability disclosure programme and add Sidekick to the status page.

Ranking features are inside EU AI Act Annex III §4 (high-risk) and inside NYC Local Law 144 when they affect NYC-based candidates. Customers should treat the AI surface as a distinct deployer-FRIA scope from the rest of the ATS.
